This fruit get its coloring from anthocyanins, powerful antioxidants which stabilize and lower blood sugar levels. Other brightly colored berries and cherries boast of similar benefits too. You can blend blueberries into a smoothie, if you prefer not to eat them whole for whatever reason.

Yogurt –

This brings us to our next point on fighting diabetes with interesting foods. Yogurt, especially Greek yogurt and paneer are healthy options for combating diabetes. Cultured food such as this has been found to reduce the chances of developing type 2 diabetes. So keep enjoying those sugar-free smoothies. Curd is not the same as yogurt as it made by curdling milk with an acidic agent like lemon juice or vinegar. Hence it does not present the same benefits as yogurt.
