2Vegetables: Gluten free source of fiber –
Not a big fan of salads? There’s nothing like a green smoothie to kick off your morning and deliver great digestion for the entire day. One of the most basic concoctions which is amazing for your stomach, especially when drunk on an empty stomach, consists of a handful of spinach, a 1-inch slice of ginger, a large cucumber, one lime and a glass of water blended together.
It’s not advisable to eat till bursting point. But if you do indulge in too much by mistake (only with reference of cooked food in this case), one surefire way of feeling great within five minutes is to grind one small cucumber, a glass of water, the juice of one lime and one large kiwi with a pinch of chaat masala in a blender and drink it all up at once. Do not strain.
Straining the juice out of pulp leaves you without the fiber which is essential for your body’s waste elimination process. If not raw vegetables, how about some soup or steamed vegetables? Stir-frying them in oils that can take heat works well too. Another fun new way of eating your greens with pleasure is by getting yourself a spiralizer for making vegan spaghetti, chips or pasta.
You can easily bring up your kids on such gluten free foods or on a low gluten diet by cutting up vegetables into interesting shapes using a spiralizer (Paderno brand seen above). Consuming raw vegetables or fruits by early noon is advised to prevent bloating or flatulence. Nutrients from some produce like spinach, carrots and tomatoes are better absorbed when cooked.
